Subhan Allah, it’s been so long since the last post. I remember the way I felt when I was writing it, I was so full of energy and ideas I felt so inspired and then… I just disappeared. There are many reasons but ultimately, it was a combination of being busy and very easily distracted. Admittedly, I’m not a very good multi-tasker.Alhamdulillah, we’re all well and I pray that you all are too Allah bless you all.
I tend to feel a little melancholy towards the end of Ramadhan. I remember as a new Muslim, I would sit there and visualise devils being released from their chains* at the stroke of maghrib like some scary movie, ruining my fairytale Ramadhan happiness. Alhamdulillaah as the years have passed I have stopped the visualisations but the thought still somewhat remains with me….until the Eid Fun begins!
Alhamdulillaah the children have been (more…)
Its been so long since I last posted subhan Allah. I’ve been unwell and it’s really taken its toll on my own progress but alhamdulillaah getting better now and hope to pick up the pace with my hifdh bi ithnillah.
We’re facing a big challenge with the children now as the long-term work has begun. We’ve been trying hard to maintain their enthusiasm while trying not to push them or make them feel pressured and that is not an easy task and isn’t always successful. The most important thing when this happens is to be able to change and adapt things to suit you all and not be too rigid in any routine. (more…)
I had these medals made for the children when they reached 1/4 and 1/3 of the Qur’aan. They really loved them a lot maa shaa Allaah. We gave them to them at the party, sometimes with certificates too.
May Allaah bless them both Ameen
today was a very big day for us all alhamdulillaah. My daughter and son both finished Al Ankaboot maa shaa Allaah, alhamdulillaah.
This was the marker for their 10th juz so now alhamdulillaah they have 1/3 of the Qur’aan Allaahu Akbar!
May Allaah bless them abundantly and protect them from every harm ameen!Happy Days!
I haven’t posted for a long time now. Things have been a little hectic here but alhamdulillaah we are still moving, still memorising and our routines are still somewhat in place….. a little shaken….but still in place.
There has been unrest but everything is a lot more settled now so it’s definetely time to get back to business.
We are approaching the winter now which is usually an ideal time to make great progress so we’ll make dua and see how things go.
The children have a new teacher now which has worked out for the best alhamdulillaah. This is such a blessing as I was worried that it would make them confused and unsettle them but this teacher seems to really be bringing out the best in them alhamdulillaah may Allaah bless her.
My husband and I are still progressing steadily alhamdulillaah, we are trying hard to keep moving regardless of any obstacles that we may come across.
May Allaah make it easy for us all and accept our efforts from us ameen.
This is another method of memorisation from the excellent book “Kayfa Tahfathul Qur’aan Al Kareem” By Dr Yahya Al Gawthaany May Allaah reward him with much good for all of his good work.
The method we have chosen today is:
TaHfeeth Al-Atfaal As-Sighaar Bitasjeel Aswaatihim/ Small Children memorising with Tapes of their Voices
There are several ways of memorising with a tape recorder this is one of them. The others will follow in-shaa Allaah .
The Author wrote what could mean:
- Get a tape Recorder and some blank tapes. Then get a child that is 4 years old or more. (more…)
