Your Folder Of Incredible Achievements

Bismillaah…

Assalaamu alaikum

We really like to give the children personalised medals and certificates when they complete big surahs or a  juz .

We decided that it’d be nice if they had a folder of some sort to keep the certificates and medals in.  they’d be protected and it would be something nice to look at sometimes and see how far they had come on the journey.

To make it, I bought an A4 presentation folder/ring binder  (the type that has an opening for you to insert your own cover), some plastic wallets for the certificates and I also managed to get hold of some medal sleeves with holes for the ring binder.  They’re used by medal collectors.

I put  a special cover in with their names and they really liked it alhamdulillaah.  This is the cover.

How we Regained Our Hifdh Momentum After Eid

Bismillaah…

Assalaamu alaikum,

Group of human hands showing unity

Alhamdulillaah Ramadhaan was really nice for us and I pray that you were all able to benefit as much as you aimed and that Allaah accept it from us all aameen.

It came and went so fast.  It feels almost like a distant memory now, like it was months ago Allahul Musta’aan.  We all read a lot during fasting time  but slowed right down after Eid.

Their revision program was fine alhamdulillaah they were able to maintain that but their memorisation had just stopped! (more…)

7 Day Hifdh Homework Diary Template

Bismillaah…

Assalaamu alaikum,

Alhamdulillaah we’ve just finished our first template for a basic hifdh homework diary.

It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while but subhan Allaah, I can be so absent-minded may Allaah help me.

I tried to include sections for the things that we use to plan our weeks and there is a little space for homework assignments and things like that from madrasah.  Ideally its set to be printed A4 and folded or cut in half  like a bound diary.

The sections that we put in are what we used to write in our “life books” (the wonderful diarys from productive Muslim and Siratt)  I used that layout and some other diarys that we have, as a guide so it does look terribly similar.  My children prefer this layout as I guess it looks a little more child friendly.

I’ll keep working on it  to improve it in shaa Allaah.7-day-hifdh-homework-diary

I pray that Allaah make this of a benefit and accept it from us and protect us from insincerity aameen.

I’m so tired, I feel like I’m sleep-typing lol

Update

Bismillaah…

Assalaamu alaikum,

Its been such a long time subhan Allaah!

We’re all still going alhamdulillaah.

The children are approaching the juz mark in surah Aali Imraan but are moving at a slower pace than usual.  I dont want to rush them at the moment, I think everyone is still winding down from Ramadhan and Eid (BTW I pray that you all had the best month ever!).

As for me, I’m still going alhamdulillaah, we’ve also started a new project which I’m really excited about.

Its basically an Islamic studies curriculum for children.  Its going to take a lot of dua and hard work from us. By the permission of Allaah it may be ready in a year or so.  Because of this I may be a little quiet at times but I’ll try not to be.

I pray that Allaah bless it for us and make it successful.
