Update:They Started Suratul Baqarah

Assalaamu alaikum,

Alhamdulillaah things have been going  well with the family hifdh.

The route that we originally planned was in 3 stages

1st.Al-Naas to Al-Thariyaat and then

2nd stage was from Al -Israa to Qaaf and then

3rd and final stage from Al Baqarah to Al-Nahl.

The idea was that once they get used to learning longer surahs,  things would get easier as they went along as the suwar would get shorter and shorter.

Alhamdulillaah They were nearly at the end of stage 2 maa shaa Allaah but we decided that it would be better for them to start stage 3 from al Baqarah now while they’re still enthusiastic.  It’s a big jump but  would help build their confidence and also that once they finish that stage, it would be nice to have surahs that have 4 or 5 pages left to complete.

I asked them what they thought and they were really excited alhamdulillaah.  I’m looking forward to hearing suratul Baqarah read in the house everyday too in shaa Allaah.

May Allaah bless them and make it easy for them Aameen

Alhamdulillaah They Finished Al-Shuraa Baarakallaahu Feehimaa

Qur’aan Reminder No.12

Being Vigilent Of The Qur’aan
The Messenger of Allaah (Sallaahu alayhi wasallam) said,

“The example of the companion of the Qur’an is that of an owner of a tied camel: if he is vigilant over it, he will hold onto his camel; if he releases it, it will go away.”

Bukharee(5031) and Muslim (789)

The Importance of Revising The Qur’aan

The Prophet (Sallaahu alayhi wasallam) said,

“Maintain the Qur’aan (by revising it frequently), for by the One Who has my soul in His Hand, it goes away more intensely than do camels from their hobbles.”

Bukharee (5033)

Virtues Of Praying with The Qur’aan

the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:

Whoever recites ten aayaat (verses) in qiyaam will not be recorded as one of the forgetful. Whoever recites a hundred aayaat (verses) in qiyaam will be recorded as one of the devout, and whoever prays a thousand aayaat (verses) in qiyaam will be recorded as one of the muqantareen (those who pile up good deeds).”

(Reported by Abu Dawood and Ibn Hibbaan. It is a hasan report. Saheeh al-Targheeb, 635).

Virtues Of Teaching The Qur’aan

Uqba ibn Amir RadiyAllahu `anhu  said: “Rasulullah (Sallallahu `alaihi wasallam) came to us while we were sitting on the Suffa and asked if anyone of us would like to go to the market of Buthan or Aqeeq and fetch from there 2 she camels of the finest breed without committing any sin or severing a tie of kinship. We replied that every one of us would love to do so. Rasulullah ( Sallallahu `alaihi wasallam)  then said that going to the Masjid and reciting or teaching 2 ayaat  of the Qur’an is more precious than 2 she-camels, 3 ayaat are more precious than 3 she-camels, and that similarly reciting or teaching of 4 ayaat is better than 4 she-camels and an equal number of camels.”

(Muslim, Abu Dawud)
