Our new schedule

I have put the order of sequence rather than times as these may vary from day-to-day.

  1. Review: Read 10 pages of review before breakfast.  They take 10 pages of what they have previously memorised and read this looking at the mushaf.   They do this fairly quickly approx 15mins. (more…)

Inspiration For Young Memorisers: Young Recitors

Bismillaah…

Assalaamu alaikum,

Maa shaa Allaah I recently came across some really nice audios alhamdulillaah.

It was a collection of different parts of the Qur’aan being read by various young reciters.  My children love to hear young voices reading The Qur’aan.  They even seem to pay more attention when they can hear that it’s a child reciting . It motivates them to hear other children that have progressed to such a high level maa shaa Allaah,  It makes them feel like they can do the same.

I uploaded them to our audio blog “Muslim Listening” so that others could listen to them and download them too.  I put the names so that maybe you can search for more surah recited by them on other websites in-shaa Allaah. (more…)

My children have been doing an intense period of review with their teacher with less hifdh.  My son came to me after his lesson and said “do you know what I’ve been doing Mummy?  I’ve been imagining the Luqmaan party” .  He then went on to describe all of the things that he pictured would happen, from the places we would go to, the things we would do and even the food we would eat!  I told him not long to go in-shaa Allaah.  (more…)
