Our Journey as a family towards memorisation of the Qur'aan

Dua Coach…..I Like!

Bismillaah

Assalaamu alaikum

Wow….I love it when I find something good on the internet and this website is exactly that.  I am currently memorising without a teacher and it can be quite challenging at times to maintain motivation among other things.  I was sitting in my house looking for a way to find a hifdh partner and then I came across this site maasha Allaah!

Its called Dua Coach.  Basically how it works is you open an account with them and choose the surah or dua that you would like to learn.

Then you decide how many lines of the surah/dua you want to study and how often e.g 2 lines per day.  What they will then do is email you everyday with your 2 lines, or whatever you choose.   You also have the option to set it to email you the same portion several times per day as a reminder of what you are supposed to be doing (you know I had to set that right *smiles*)

You  have the option of adding translation and audio to the emails they send you aswell as tips to help keep you going.  Another benefit is that  their database will show you other people (gender segregated) that are memorising the same surahs as you and you can request them as a study buddy.  You can also add friends so that you can have your own network maasha Allaah.

Now there is a catch….its not free but to be honest I don’t mind paying for things like this. Its a very useful service for someone like me, not forgetting how much money I spend on nonsense!  The price is fairly reasonable at $14/£9.99 per month.  They are currently running a special offer for Ramadhaan whereby the cost has been dropped to a $0.99/99p so you can try it out and benefit from the service during this blessed month.

Give it a try, I really like it.  Heres the link www.duacoach.com

I pray that Allaah bless them for their efforts and accept it from them.

I don’t often ask but please share this. Its got so much potential and I can imagine so many people who could benefit from this.

subhanallah jazakallah khair ukhti for thinking about me. Ameen to your dua i pray that it will be of a great help to me also. i wanted to share something with youthat i came up with today. See i love martial arts and have been in it for some time but now that i am older i save that for all others and focus my time on my deen Mashallah. but i thought because i do like the sport so much why not use this as an incentive for myself. like a goal and reward system. so what i did what break the total number of juz in colored belts thats the ranks you achieve before youget to black belt and in each color you have to achieve a certain amount of juz once each juz is achieved someone has to listen to your recitation and once that is done then you earn that specific colored belt. i have it so it goes all the way up to fifth degree black belt with each degree going through 6juz of the Quran with no mistakes inshallah. now for each colored belt there is homework that you check off each day that is revision of recent pages and one juz then the next day this wil be done until reached the goal of a specific colored belt. all checks have to be done in order to take test for the colored belt.

i hope this was not confusing but i was in martial arts for years so i understand it all an am totally excited about this. i loved rank in martial arts and i look at this all as my level in jenna as i recite and learn more juz subhanallah. All praise is for Allah swa and i seek His help in learning and earning the reward of hafizah one day inshallah and i pray that all that are trying to achieve this goal will earn the same reward. Ameen.

    • w alaikumus salaamw arhmatullaahi wa barakaatuh, sis I am soooo sorry you sentt his a month ago subhan Allaah. I want to elaborate but my intermet and stuff should be ok sometime this week in-shaa Allaah. BAarakallaahu feeki. I will give you a proper reply then in-shaa Allaah…a really loooooong one lol you’ll regret it!
