we have started a new blog alhamdulillaah. We plan to fill it with audios that children can listen to in-shaa Allaah.
We called it
Mulim Radio ….I know not very imaginative but I couldn’t think of anything else at the time lol! (We have since changed it to Muslim-Listening…a little bit better lol)
There will be a combination of English and Arabic stories. I’m often asked what we do to maintain the childrens Arabic and listening to Arabic stories is one of the main things we do. We’re basically trying to provide a music-free* alternative to TV.
I’ll be uploading maybe 1 audio per week in-shaa Allaah. We are starting with the Biography of Rasoolullaah (Seerah An-Nabawiyyah) salla Allaahu alaihi wa sallam. These are all in Arabic but if you have difficulty understanding things as I do sometimes, then I’d reccomend using the book “When the Moon Split” By Safiur Rahman Mubarakpuri (raheemahullaah) to read with it. This is my favourite Seerah book in English as its very easy to understand and follow maasha Allaah.
Heres the link for the blog, its still in its beginning stages so looks quite basic but its coming along alhamdulillaah.
*By this I mean free of instruments as I believe these to be haraam the proof being this hadeeth :
The Prophet (SallAllahu `alayhi wa sallam) said (which means), “From among my followers there will be some people who will consider illegal sexual intercourse, the wearing of silk, the drinking of alcoholic drinks and the use of musical instruments, as lawful. And there will be some people who will stay near the side of a mountain and in the evening their shepherd will come to them with their sheep and ask them for something, but they will say to him, ‘Return to us tomorrow.’ Allah will destroy them during the night and will let the mountain fall on them, and He will transform the rest of them into monkeys and pigs and they will remain so till the Day of Resurrection.” [Al-Bukhari Volume 7, Book 69, Number 494v].
some of the audios may have singing in them.
